Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $5,000 to Central Oklahoma nonprofit organizations to support educational arts programs for underserved K-12 students. Projects supported by the program include art camp scholarships, transportation for student field trips to art exhibits, bringing outside artists to visit schools, and after-school art activities.

Oklahoma, Kingfisher, Logan, Lincoln, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Cleveland, McClain, Grady, and Canadian Counties are eligible.

Hobby Lobby gift cards are also available in increments of $100. Gift cards can be requested in addition to cash grants for the purchase of materials and supplies related to the educational outreach project.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Agencies with an annual budget of $500,000 or more: Up to $5,000 (including gift card request).

Agencies with an annual budget of less than $500,000: Up to $3,000 (including gift card request).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Provide quality arts and cultural programming to the community
- Be a nonprofit arts organization, tax-exempt corporation as defined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service (have current 501(c)(3) status)
- Be established and functional for at least three years
- Have current financials
- Have headquarters in central Oklahoma (defined by the 10-county area including the counties of Oklahoma, Kingfisher, Logan, Lincoln, Seminole, Pottawatomie, Cleveland, McClain, Grady, and Canadian)
- Have current registration as a charitable organization with the State of Oklahoma
- Grantees must be self-identified as “Arts, Culture, and Humanities” using the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities system

Funds are not available to pay for programmatic-related expenses, capital improvements, membership dues, shipping costs, parking or per diem costs for conference attendees. Individuals are not eligible for Capacity-Building funding.
