Awards of $5,000 to Oklahoma educators for outstanding teaching. The purpose of this program is to honor individuals who are role models in education and encourage others to strive for excellence. Awards will be presented to teachers at the elementary, secondary, regional university, community college, and research university levels. Honorees will be recognized on May 20, 2023, at the Academic Awards Banquet, which has been described as the “Academy Awards of public education in Oklahoma.”
The Oklahoma Medal for Excellence, one of Oklahoma’s premiere educator awards, recognizes public school educators for their passion and innovation, commitment to professional development, and extraordinary impact on student learning.
