Reaching Maximum Independence, Inc. (RMI) provides comprehensive, person-centered services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) throughout San Antonio. Our programs are designed to promote independence, dignity, and full community inclusion.
Residential Services:
RMI operates two Medicaid-funded Home and Community-based Services (HCS) homes and seven Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF) that provide safe, supportive living environments integrated within the community.
Host Home and Residential Services:
The Host Home program, where individuals may also receive in-home support services while living with their families. Residential services include 24-hour supervision (as needed), personal care assistance, life skills training, medication management, and access to community activities.
Life Enrichment Program (LEP):
The LEP offers structured day activities that promote socialization, community engagement, volunteerism, recreation, and continued development of life skills. Participants build meaningful relationships and remain actively connected to the San Antonio community.
Supported Employment Services:
RMI equips individuals with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to achieve competitive, integrated employment and long-term career success. Through vocational assessments, job readiness training, job placement, on-the-job coaching, and ongoing support, participants are empowered to thrive in the workforce. This program reflects RMI's commitment to creating a world where everyone, regardless of ability, can succeed. - Target Audience
